Answers:
- Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Saint Martin are all overseas territories of France. All three islands use the Euro and are represented in the European Union. So technically, you can set foot in the EU while in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
- The Caribbean islands get their name from the indigenous Carib tribes who migrated to the islands from South America. They were fierce warriors and sea raiders, and about 3,000 of them remain in Dominica today.
- It’s true! There are more churches per square kilometre in Jamaica than any other nation in the world.
- True! The Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park is located off the coast of Grenada. A collaboration with nature, this subaquatic wonderland boasts over 65 sculptures submerged beneath the crystal-clear Caribbean waters.
- Just 2% of the Caribbean islands are inhabited by people! The Caribbean is made up of over 700 islands!
